The body of a 53-year-old citizen of Belarus was found in the bus traveling from Warsaw to Hrodna on the Lithuanian border last weekend.

The cause of death is being determined, reports the BNS agency with reference to the police.

The body of a 53-year-old Belarusian was found in a passenger bus traveling on the route Warsaw - Bialystok - Hrodna, around 2 o'clock in the morning on February 25.

This happened on the Lithuanian border, because now, after the closure of the border crossings in the Horaden region, buses to Poland often pass through Lithuania.

As reported by the border service of Lithuania, the man fell ill when the bus arrived at the checkpoint in Raigardas.

It was not possible to save him.

No external injuries were found on the body.

After the incident, the bus headed further to Belarus.

The Lithuanian police started a pre-trial investigation to establish the cause of death.
