Russian troops continue to increase the number of shelling in

the Luhansk region

.

The hottest spots in the region are the direction of Kreminnaya and Bilogorivka.

The aggressors are also accumulating equipment and resources in the Svativ direction.

This was announced by the head of the Luhansk OVA, Serhiy Gaidai.

"Recently, both shelling of our positions and de-occupied settlements, as well as attempts to storm the Defense Forces, have become more frequent. Either infantry or infantry with the support of heavy equipment. We can say that a decent escalation has begun," Gaidai said.

According to him, the occupiers are actively trying to storm Ukrainian positions in small groups.

"Partial implementation of this offensive is already underway. A large amount of heavy equipment was brought to the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. Secondly, a lot of newly mobilized soldiers from Russia, who were recruited a few months ago, were brought... We see that they are going on the offensive in different directions. That is now it's probing for weak points," Gaidai said.

The situation in Luhansk region

The Russian occupiers are trying with all their might to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian defenders in the Luhansk region.

Near

Kreminnaya, the invaders increased the intensity of shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces.

The head of the OVA, Serhii Gaidai, stated that a new

offensive by Russia could happen any day after February 15.

Oleksiy Hetman, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, believes that Russia's repeated attack on Ukraine

has been going on for at least a week and a half.

In his opinion, the Russian military wants to walk along the administrative borders of the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions from the north and, accordingly, the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions from the south.

Analysts believe that the occupiers do not have enough free reserves to increase the scale or intensity of attacks in

the Luhansk region.
