Before filing a false alarm about a bomb at the Central Station in Plovdiv, the homeless Lyubomir Yakov swore at patrolling officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and threatened to gather all the police in the area.

The case against the 27-year-old man will start on March 1, "24 Chasa" reports.

On November 15

around 6 p.m. Yakov asked passers-by in the underpass of the Central Station.

However, no one gave him money, which angered the young man and he shouted.

The "bomber" from Plovdiv in court: I'm sorry, I'm being treated for alcohol addiction

At the same time, a police team was patrolling the area.

They knew the homeless man because they had checked on him many times before and were aware of his record.

Lyubomir Yakov has 8 convictions, 3 of which are for filing false alarms, and in October 2021 he threatened to kill Boyko Borisov and Iva Miteva.

After the uniformed men warned the homeless man not to beg or disturb the citizens, he became even more angry and began to swear at them.

Yakov shouted that he would gather all the police at the station.

However, the officers let him go.

Determined to carry out his threat, the 27-year-old man boarded a city bus in the direction of the "Karshiyaka" district.

He got off at a stop near the "Filipovo" railway station, found a street phone and called 112. He introduced himself as "Bai Georgi" and reported that he had planted mine grenades in the area where he was stopped by the police.

After Yakov's call, Ministry of Internal Affairs officials evacuated passengers and employees of the station and thoroughly searched the perimeter, but a bomb was never found.

A little later, they discovered and arrested the "bomber".

Before the District Court in Plovdiv, the man explained that he suffers from alcohol addiction and asked to be released, but the magistrates imposed on him the most severe measure of remand.

His arrest was canceled at the second instance because it turned out that Lubomir Yakov had a probation that he did not fulfill and was transferred directly to prison.
