Croatia started the operation by sending 14 transport helicopters to Ukraine.

Twelve MI 8 MTV-1 helicopters and two MI 8 T helicopters were allocated from the Armed Forces and preparations for their transportation began.

This is reported by Jutarnji list.

According to available information, several helicopters are currently on the territory of the Aviation Technical Center in Velika Gorytsia, where its employees are conducting all the necessary technical preparations.

Some helicopters are in the hangar and two are currently outside.

Among other things, all applicable markings are removed from the helicopters, if necessary, the used material is changed, oil is added, etc.

Due to the lack of space in the hangars, the remaining helicopters are located in the military part of Pleso Airport and in Luchko.

The helicopters are expected to be ready for transport in about ten days.

According to the media, seven helicopters will be partially disassembled and transported by land, and the remaining seven will fly to Poland.

In particular, all 14 helicopters will be transferred to Poland, from where they will be sent to Ukraine.

It is assumed that helicopters with larger resources will fly to Poland, and those with smaller resources will be transported by ground transport.

After sending these helicopters to Ukraine, the Croatian Air Force will have ten Mi 171Sh transport helicopters and four Black Hawk helicopters at its disposal.

In September of last year, the director of the Department of Defense Policy of the Ministry of Defense, Dunja Buyan Schuyster, said that Croatia had sent military aid to Ukraine four times, but did not want to disclose what was sent.

Even earlier, Defense Minister Mario Banožić said after the government meeting that Croatia is sending machine guns and machine guns with the appropriate ammunition for four infantry brigades to Ukraine, which is about eight thousand rifles with ammunition.

Meanwhile, the president of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, known for his pro-Russian views, once again distinguished himself with a scandalous statement.

Milanovych said that Crimea "will never return to the control of Ukraine"
