[Reporter Zheng Shuting/Taoyuan Report] A 53-year-old man surnamed Zheng has multiple previous convictions for drugs and theft. He was only arrested for stealing a motorcycle in December last year. Sesame oil money was caught by the temple staff on the spot. Considering that he was a habitual offender and was in danger of repeating the crime, the prosecution appealed to the court and was approved. Prosecutors from the Taoyuan District Prosecutor’s Office recently prosecuted him on the charge of attempted theft. Zheng Nan is still in custody. He was taken to the Taoyuan Detention Center.

The prosecution pointed out that Zheng Nan went to Digong Temple to steal sesame oil money at around 7 o'clock in the evening on February 5 this year. The behavior was discovered by temple officials surnamed Zhou, who immediately notified the police to arrest him and confiscated the tools used in the crime. Zheng Nancai was arrested for stealing a motorcycle for transportation, and he committed the crime again not long after.
