"Zerkalo" publication noticed a native of Belarus on the sanctions list, as well as a private military company and an arms dealer with ties to Belarus.

The list of Russian officials who have been sanctioned by the US includes the Russian Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic,

Aleksei Chakunkov

, a native of Belarus.

He was born in Minsk, his father Oleg Chakunkov was a Belarusian diplomat, in 1998-2001 he held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam.

The private military company "Redout" was also on the list.

Although it is registered in Moscow, the US Treasury believes that it operates on the territory of Belarus and Ukraine (these countries are listed in the sanctions list next to the company's name).

It is known that two Belarusians who fought in the "Redut" PEC have already been detained in Ukraine.

One of them - Maxim Zyazulchyk - is considered by the Security Service of Ukraine to be an agent of the KGB of Belarus, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in Ukraine.

Another Belarusian, who also fought in the Redoubt, is now awaiting trial.

The Russian-Turkmen arms dealer Nurmurad Kurbanov, who represented Russian and Belarusian defense companies abroad, including the sanctioned Belarusian research and production company with limited liability "OKB TSP", also fell under US sanctions.
