Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the people on 'Green Growth' in the first program of the Post Budget Webinar (Post Budget 2023 Webinar).

He said- 'The budget of our government has been taking forward the reforms of the new era along with the solution of the present challenges.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there has been a pattern in all the budgets that have come in India since 2014.

The pattern is that every budget of our government has been taking forward the reforms of the new era along with solving the current challenges.

The webinar program will start from 23rd February and will continue till 11th March.

During this, 12 different sectors will be discussed.

Suggestions will be taken from the people to better implement the announcements of the budget.

On the first day of the webinar, Prime Minister Modi said- 'It will be the priority of the Government of India to implement the "Growth Agenda" included in Budget 2023 in the current financial year.

During the dialogue with stakeholders on the "Green Growth" agenda in the budget webinar, PM Modi said that Vehicle Scrapping Policy, Govardhan Yojana and National Green Hydro Mission are among the priorities of the government.  

He said, 'India's vehicle scrapping policy is an important part of the green growth strategy.

To encourage this, the government has made a provision of Rs 3000 crore in the budget.

About 3 lakh vehicles of the Central and State Government are to be scrapped in the coming few months. 

PM Modi said- 'Scaffling of government vehicles which are more than 15 years old is going to become a big market for investors.'

Addressing the stakeholders, the PM said that it is the priority of the government to increase the production of renewable energy, reduce the use of fossil fuel and to rapidly move forward the gas-based economy.  

According to the PM, India has the capacity to produce 10,000 million cubic meters of biogas from cow dung and 1.5 million cubic meters of gas from agri residue.

This can contribute up to one percent in city gas distribution.

Investors should not miss the opportunity of setting up ethanol plants in every corner of the country.

Through the National Green Hydrogen Mission, India is aiming to produce 5 MMT green hydrogen every year.

At the same time, to promote the private sector, a provision of more than Rs 19,000 crore has been made in this mission.

PM Modi said- 'Today Govardhan Yojana is an important part of India's bio fuel strategy.

In this budget, the government has announced to set up 500 new plants under the Govardhan Yojana.

The preparation of the government is to establish India as a lead player in the global green energy market.

According to the industry body PHDCCI, in order to take forward the agenda of green growth, it will be very important that small and small scale industries should also be included in this initiative.

According to PHDCCI Deputy Secretary General SP Sharma, small and small scale industries can access the necessary credit from banks.

For this, the government will have to do handholding.

SP Sharma, Deputy Secretary General, PHDCC told NDTV- "Funds remain a problem for MSMEs. If small scale industries are to be included in the flag of green growth, the government will have to do handholding. Will have to help The challenge may be regarding working capital.

Obviously, in order to achieve the target of net zero by 2070, it will be necessary that the agenda of green growth should be taken forward rapidly.
