Denmark announced the possibility of providing fighter jets to Ukraine.
Such a statement was made by Acting Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen, Sky News reports.
The Danish Air Force is known to have acquired 77 F-16s since the 1970s.
About 30 of them are currently located among them.
"I do not rule out that at some point there may be a need to consider the transfer of fighter jets," Poulsen said.
It should be noted that this year
Ukraine requested more modern weapons, including fighter jets, from its Western allies.
However, no country has yet made a decision to hand over fighter jets to Ukraine.
Weapons for Ukraine
We will remind that
the Ministry of Defense
announced that the decision of the partners to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons has already been adopted.
In addition to the SAMP/T-MAMBA air defense systems, Italy,
together with France, will provide other complexes to Ukraine in the new
military aid package.
NATO, the EU and
Ukraine
will jointly increase the production of weapons and ammunition.
All this will go to the needs of the Armed Forces and to the replenishment of allies' reserves.
