The head of state, Volodymyr Zelensky, admitted that he thought he might not survive the first days of the Russian attack, but was confident that the country would survive in any case.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said this in an interview with BBC-Ukraine.

"I didn't think about it, to be honest. I just thought, and if this happens - what will happen to ... everything?

And what will happen to my family? And what will happen to the country?

I was sure - the country is strong, it will withstand , probably without me, because there are people, people are a treasure. And my family... It will probably be more difficult for them without me," the Ukrainian leader answered the journalist's question.

It will be recalled that in January 2023, The Independent, referring to Chris Whipple's book "The Battle of His Life: Inside Joe Biden's White House", reported that since February 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has survived more than twelve assassination attempts
