Ghaziabad:

Muradnagar police arrested two people on Thursday in connection with the murder of an Ayurvedic doctor.

A doctor named Shamshad was murdered in his clinic on 11 February.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ravi Kumar said that the arrested accused have been identified as Meerut residents Owais and Mohammad Uvesh.

During interrogation, Owais confessed to the crime and said that he had shot Shamshad, while his accomplice Mohammad had brought him to the clinic on a red scooty.

According to the police, the mastermind of this massacre, Haji Adnan, Haji Wasim and five others are still absconding.

At the same time, a cartridge and the scooty used at the time of the murder were recovered from the arrested accused.

Owais told the police that he was given a betel nut of two lakh rupees to kill the doctor.

Fifty thousand rupees advance and a pistol were provided to him by Haji Wasim.

The mastermind of this murder was Adnan's enmity with the doctor.
