On the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, Russia can deliver a powerful massive strike by

launching at least 50 missiles with a 5-wave range.

The tactics are the same, they will combine launches with Iranian Shahed drones to stress our air defense.

This opinion was expressed by a political scientist, analyst, former design engineer at the design bureau "South" named after

M.K. Yangel's Oleksandr Kochetkov for "Apostrophe".

According to his assumptions, if the Russians succeed in exhausting the Ukrainian air defense, then they can try an air raid in parallel.

"What can we expect on February 24? These are 5 waves of missile launches. Usually the Russians made 2-3 such waves, plus the preliminary launch of the Shaheds. And this time they may dare to launch 5 waves, using both aircraft and ships. Part of the missile strikes can be directed against radar stations and air defense systems, and the rest - at Ukrainian cities. Well, in parallel,

they may try to carry out an air raid on Ukrainian cities, if it is possible to hit our air defense system.

I am not at all convinced of this," the expert notes.

Kochetkov stressed that perhaps Putin will try to simulate, or at least be told, that there was a "powerful strike" - a strike

on air defense systems, airfields, and military facilities.

"Although everyone perfectly understands that the missile strikes that Russia has been regularly launching against Ukraine's energy sector for 4 months are not successful. And we are only getting fiercer and have time to rebuild. But for Putin, this is not the most important thing. For him, the most important thing is "Soviet

" symbolism

," the expert concluded.

What Putin is preparing for the anniversary of the attack on Ukraine

Ukrainian military experts and analysts suggest that Russian President

Vladimir Putin

will attack Ukraine by all available means on the eve of February 24, as he needs to demonstrate at least some success in the war before the anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

Among Putin's "surprises" are the threat of missile strikes, the offensive of the occupying army, sabotage and a massive air raid.

Intelligence does not rule out the possibility of a missile attack on February 24.

However, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov said that they will be the same as before.

However,

Ukraine is intensively preparing for possible "surprises" from Russia

before the anniversary of the full-scale war, says Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to him, control points, command and mobile brigades, all Air Defense Forces are ready 24/7.
