So far, Beijing has helped Moscow mainly with oil purchases, but now, according to US intelligence, the leadership of the People's Republic of China is thinking about a new possible military cooperation.

The Wall Street Journal writes about it with reference to its own sources.

According to US and European officials, Western countries have received information in recent weeks that Beijing may begin supplying arms to Russia, although China does not appear to have made a final decision yet.

Officials say Beijing has been cautious in the past, limiting its support to financial aid and oil purchases, but that position appears to be changing, according to the latest intelligence assessments.
