  • 500 g rohu fish

  • 1 tsp panchphoron

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1/2 inch ginger

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • salt as required

  • 1/4 cup mustard oil

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • 3 tsp garlic paste

How to make Rohu Fish Curry - Easy Rohu Fish Curry Recipe:

  • Marinate the fish with 1/2 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp garlic paste and salt to taste.

    Keep it in a cool place for half an hour.

  •  To make masala, put 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 inch piece of ginger and 1 tsp garlic paste in a mixer jar.

    Grind to make masala.

    You can also grind the spices in a mortar.

    Now add red chili powder and panchphoron to this mixture.

  • Heat mustard oil in a pan.

    Put the marinated fish in the pan and shallow fry the fish from both the sides.

    After frying, take out the fish and keep it in a plate.

  •  Add the mixture of spices in the same oil and fry for two minutes.

    Now add tomato paste made from 2 tomatoes and mix well.

    Let the masala cook till the tomato masala starts leaving oil.

    It will take 8-10 minutes.

  • Now put 2 cups of water in the pan and boil it.

    Cook the gravy for 4-5 minutes.

  • Now add fried fish and green coriander to this thin gravy and mix.

    Add salt as per taste and cook for 4-5 more minutes.

  •  Rohu fish curry is ready.

    Serve it with rice or chapati.
