During the past 48 hours, heavy fighting continued in the direction of Bakhmut.

APA reports that this was stated in the information of the Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

It has been reported that Ukrainian forces are still keeping supply lines open to the west despite Russia's expanding encirclement over the past 6 weeks.

It was added that the city of Ugledar, located in the south of Donetsk region, was again subjected to heavy artillery fire:

"There is a realistic possibility that Russia is preparing another attack on the territory after its failed attacks in early February and late 2022."

It was noted that the Eastern Group of Russian Forces is probably responsible for the Ugledar operation.

It was emphasized that the group's commander, Rustam Muradov, is currently under intense pressure due to harsh criticism from Russian nationalist circles for his previous retreats.

"However, it is unlikely that Muradov will have the striking power to break through (the Ukrainian line)," the report said.
