In the city of Orlando (Florida, USA), a reporter for the local TV channel Spectrum News 13 was fatally wounded on February 22 just while reporting from the scene of another murder that had occurred a few hours earlier.

This is reported by the BBC.

A nine-year-old girl died along with the journalist.

The police said that

the same attacker injured another reporter and the girl's mother

.

The attacker is a suspect in another murder.

So, two journalists of a local TV channel were reporting from the scene of the murder of a young woman in Pine Hills, which happened in the morning of February 22.

The murder suspect later unexpectedly returned to the scene of the crime.

It is currently unclear why the attacker carried out the shooting.

Police detained an armed attacker who resisted arrest.

According to Orange County Sheriff John Mina, the attack on journalists was committed around 4:00 p.m. local time.

They were in their car or next to it.

The car itself did not have any markings of the TV channel.

This is 19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses, the suspect in a series of shootings today that left three dead, in OCSO custody.

According to the sheriff, the journalists were reporting on the murder of a 20-year-old girl, which was committed in the morning of the same day.

The suspect, 19-year-old

Keith Moses, returned to the scene of the crime and opened fire on the reporters.

After that, the attacker entered a neighboring house and opened fire on its residents, hitting a mother and her daughter.

The child died, and her mother was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Other media workers working nearby provided first aid to the injured.

It should be noted that after the reporter's death became known, the Spectrum 13 TV channel continued its live reporting from the scene.

The injured journalist was able to talk to investigators and colleagues.

The sheriff said that

Mozes, who was detained, had problems with the law more than once

.

So, he was accused of illegal possession of weapons, aggravated battery, armed assault and burglary.

According to law enforcement officers,

the attacker was familiar with the girl who was shot in the morning

, but was in no way related to the other victims of the shooting.

The police are still investigating why Mozes shot at the journalists.

The sheriff suggested that the attacker might have mistaken the reporters for law enforcement officers.

Senet Gebregiorgis, a reporter for another local TV channel WESH 2, said that she and a cameraman left the crime scene a few minutes before the shooting.

"We had a bad feeling, and we decided to avoid the sin further away," the reporter said.

Charter Communications, the company that owns the TV channel, released a statement calling the attack a terrible tragedy for the people of Orlando.

White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre expressed her condolences on Twitter.

We will remind, in South Africa, a murderer was imprisoned for 260 years, who raped and beat to death an eight-year-old girl, and then cut off her hand.
