On the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the Russian army may launch a missile attack, but its effectiveness will be much lower than a year ago.

Sabotage is also not excluded.

This opinion was expressed by military analyst

Petro Chernyk

in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

When asked about "surprises" from the occupiers on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, Chernyk answered:

"

In my opinion, they still have a large missile salvo in their arsenal in the range of 80-120 missiles. But it seems to me that they will not be able to repeat their own record at the beginning of this war, when they simultaneously used about 160 missiles. They may resort to some

diversionary actions - it is quite possible, the remnants of agent networks exist among them. The only serious argument they have left is weapons of mass destruction. They have nothing else to offer. During this war, they used absolutely all non-nuclear methods of warfare against us."

The analyst recalled how Ukraine's air defense has strengthened since the beginning of the full-scale war:

"At that time, our air defense covered the sky by 15-20%. We had old Soviet S-200, S-300, Buk, Tor-M, Osa systems and a small number of Western models, primarily - MANPADS Stinger. Since that time, our air defense has been saturated with a colossal number of the latest Western developments. Iris-T, NASAMS, Crotale, Mistral, Aspid - far from the full range of what we have in our arsenal. Except for the last salvo, when up

to 14 Kh-22 missiles, which we have nothing to shoot down, in all previous volleys, the indicators of hitting ballistic and aerodynamic targets, and therefore cruise missiles - from 86 to 90%

.

It will be recalled that the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assured that Ukraine is intensively preparing for possible "surprises" from Russia before the anniversary of the full-scale war.

Control points, command and mobile brigades - all Air Defense Forces are ready 24/7.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, predicts that Russia may launch a "small missile attack".

Analyst Oleksandr Kochetkov believes that the invaders can launch at least 50 missiles in 5 waves in combination with Iranian Shahed drones to load Ukrainian air defense.
