Comment from the author Tetyana Melezhik:

"Quite often, even after washing, white socks still don't look clean. The sole can turn gray from wear, and the fabric itself gets stained. However, there are two ways that can help. After trying them, that's all I do now."

Bleach, which is added to the washing machine immediately before washing, cannot always effectively cope with the task.

Over time, white socks cease to look perfect, and it is not so easy to return the whiteness of the material.

If you want to whiten your socks, you will have to make a little effort.

Method 1: soak and use laundry soap

First, white socks are soaked in warm water with washing powder or washing gel (your choice) and left to soak.

After that, the items are taken out, rinsed in running water and soaped with household soap.

Now the socks are soaked again using a different solution.

Two tablespoons of calcined salt and the same amount of ammonia are diluted in 1 liter of hot water.

Things are left in the solution for one hour, and then washed and sent to the washing machine or washed by hand in the usual way.

Method 2: Quick with dish soap and citric acid

This method does not take so much time, but it may not cope with old stains.

For him, you need to soak white socks in water, having previously rubbed them with laundry soap.

After some time, the socks should be pulled out and soaked in a new solution.

Dilute 0.5 teaspoon of citric acid in 100 ml of water.

Leave for 20 minutes, then rinse in clean water and dry.
