[Reporters Wu Shengru, Lin Jiadong/Keelung] The Keelung City Fire Department received a notification from the National Highway Traffic Control Center at 5:10 p.m. today that a truck overturned 2 kilometers south of National Highway No. 1.

The fire department immediately dispatched 3 vehicles and 6 people to rescue the driver. When he arrived, the driver had escaped on his own, with slight abrasions and bruises on his hands and feet. He was conscious and not life-threatening. He was sent to the hospital for treatment.

However, due to the accident, the rear was blocked for about 2 kilometers, and the accident is still to be ruled out.

When the firefighters arrived, the driver of the truck carrying construction waste had escaped by himself and waited for help on the side of the expressway. However, the waste behind the vehicle was scattered all over the place, occupying two lanes.
