[Reporter Chen Yun/Report from Taipei] The Central Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party approved the schedule for the 2024 primary election for the nomination of the president and regional legislators today.

Registration for the presidential primary election will be from March 13 to 17, and the Central Executive Committee will announce the list of presidential nominees on April 12.

Registration for the primary election of regional legislators will be from March 20 to 24, and the Central Executive Committee will announce the nomination list of legislators on May 17.

According to the plan, for the presidential primary election, the Central Executive Committee will review the qualifications of the candidates for the primary election on March 22; if there are those who drop out after coordination, it will be submitted to the Central Executive Committee for approval;

If there are more than two groups of people competing for the party's primary election, the polls for the presidential primary election will be conducted from April 6 to 10.

The presidential primary election speeches will be held from March 30 to April 4; the party's presidential nomination list will be announced on April 12.
