On February 22, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ruslan Stoyanov.

Ambassador Ruslan Stoyanov presented a copy of his credentials to the minister.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Ambassador Ruslan Stoyanov on his appointment and wished him success in his work.

Referring with satisfaction to the existence of bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, including political, economic, energy, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that there is potential for further development of relations.

It was pointed out that the current political dialogue and high-level visits and contacts between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria play an important role in the development of relations.

In particular, the importance of putting the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector into operation last year with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was noted as an embodiment of effective cooperation in the field of energy.

In this regard, the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring Europe's energy security and diversification of energy supply was widely discussed.

Ambassador Ruslan Stoyanov, who expressed his satisfaction with the appointment of ambassador to our country, noted that there is a mutually beneficial cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria at bilateral and multilateral levels.

In this regard, he noted that he will spare no effort to further develop cooperation in various fields.



During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
