The city government has budgeted nearly 100 million yuan to relocate and rebuild the building. The floor area of ​​the total building has been increased by five times, which will accommodate more firefighting vehicles and firefighting manpower.

According to the Zhongshi Fire Department, the relocation project of the Shigang unit is expected to be completed by the end of December next year, and will be completed and put into use in June 2011; the new office building is planned to have three floors above the ground, including equipment rooms, garages, duty desks, offices, dormitories, and backup rooms , reception room, charity office, women's publicity office, water training classroom and other spaces, the capacity will be increased to 36 people, which will effectively enhance disaster relief capabilities.

Fire Chief Sun Fuyou said that due to the geographical location of Shigang District near Fengyuan, Dongshi, and Xinshe, the Shigang team often supports disaster relief and rescue cases in nearby areas; in addition, the Shigang dam and Dajia River are included in the area under its jurisdiction. In the case of drowning accidentally trapped on the sandbar, the Shigang Branch is an important local firefighting and water rescue force. In the future, through new equipment, resources and well-trained professional manpower, it will provide better services for the citizens of the mountain line.
