On Wednesday, February 22, in the city of Saint-Jean-de-Luz in the south of France, a senior student of the Catholic Lyceum of St. Thomas Aquinas attacked his teacher.

The boy ran into the classroom and stabbed a 50-year-old woman with a knife.

This is reported by Le Figaro.

According to preliminary information, the attack happened during a Spanish language lesson, around 10 in the morning.

The 16-year-old student committed this attack because he "heard voices" at night asking him to kill his teacher.

The 50-year-old teacher died of cardiac arrest before emergency services arrived.

The student who committed the attack was detained by the police at the scene of the incident and taken into custody.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating a case of intentional homicide.

Previously, the student who committed the crime was not in the field of view of the police and the justice system.

French government spokesman Olivier Veran commented on the event, calling it very traumatic.

J'ai une pensée pour la famille de l'enseignante, ses élèves et pour toute la communauté éducative.

It will be recalled that a court in the USA found 28-year-old Minnesota resident Julissa Thaler guilty of the cold-blooded murder of her son.

She shot a 6-year-old boy because he wouldn't sleep.
