The Ministry of Education appealed to heads of OVA and heads of educational institutions with a recommendation to switch to distance education in the period from February 22 to 24.

This is due to the threat of strikes by the Russian army.

This was announced by Minister of Education Serhii Shkarlet.

"In order to ensure the life and health of all participants in the educational process, as a preventive measure before the anniversary of the start of Russia's war against Ukraine, I appealed to the heads of regional and Kyiv city military administrations, heads of educational institutions with a recommendation to organize an educational process from February 22 to 24, 2023 in educational institutions in a distance format," said Skarlet.

It is noted that local authorities and educational institutions can independently decide on the format of classes.

Kyiv is a mixed format

Schools in the capital will continue to work in a mixed mode from February 22.

At the parents' decision, the child can stay at home and join online lessons on any day.

As reported by the KMDA, educational institutions in Kyiv have been working in this format since the beginning of the academic year.

Distance lessons are organized as a parallel process, and shelters are equipped in all schools.

"It is also necessary to take into account the fact that enterprises and departments will work as usual on these days, which means that parents will have no choice but to leave their children, especially younger ones," the city's Department of Education and Science said.

Kyiv region - distance learning

The decision to switch to online training was made by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration in connection with the threat of missile attacks on February 22-24.

In schools of the Kyiv region, classes will be conducted remotely from Wednesday until the end of the week.

In particular, the mayor of Brovary Ihor Sapozhko said that secondary education institutions will switch to remote mode in the coming days, but kindergartens will work in normal mode.

We will remind you that the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces believes that the enemy will not use aviation en masse on the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
