During the visit of President Joe Biden to Poland, a meeting in the "Biden-Duda-Zelensky" format is not planned.

The dimension of bilateral Polish-American relations will be dominant.

This was stated by Marcin Pshidach, head of the international policy department of the Office of the President of Poland, in an interview with PAP.PL.

According to him, a tripartite meeting of the presidents of the USA, Poland and Ukraine during President Biden's visit to Poland is not planned.

As the presidential minister emphasized, Joe Biden is also coming to Poland with "a message to the Poles with thanks to the Polish government, president and society for everything we have done in recent months to maintain stability in this part of the world, as well as for the simple human support that we provide to our Ukrainian neighbors".

"There is (planned) a bilateral Polish-American meeting. The dimension of bilateral Polish-American relations will be dominant," Przydach said.

Pshidach also referred to

US plans to strengthen sanctions against Russia.

He emphasized that Poland supports sanctions since the beginning of the Russian aggression and even earlier called to disconnect Russia from the SWIFT system or limit the import of diamonds.

"The next few packages of sanctions at the level of the EU and the G7 have led to a situation in which Russia is already starting to feel economic suffocation. The next package of sanctions should strengthen them both in the energy context, because hydrocarbons are the main factor of ensuring the Russian budget, and in the field of high technologies , because the Russian army is also based on the import of technology from developed countries. If these opportunities are cut off, it will be more difficult for the Russians to conduct military operations," Pshidach explained.

In his opinion, it is also important to influence the Russian banking sector and the sector of luxury goods.

"The fourth important point, which was discussed by both Prime Minister (Mateusz) Moravetskii and President (Andrzej) Duda, is the issue of confiscation of Russian goods frozen in European banks. This money can be used to support Ukraine and its recovery." , - he added.

It will be recalled that US President Joe Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv on February 20.

After that, the American leader arrived in Poland, where he will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
