The fire broke out in an alley on Zhengxin Road, Xinhua District. The fire department of the municipal government received a report at 0:17 a.m. and urgently mobilized rescue efforts.

After the Xinhua fire brigade arrived, they discovered that the fire had started in the Shenming Hall on the third floor of the residential building, and the fire began to spread. The neighboring fire brigade rushed to the rescue one after another. A total of 27 vehicles and 55 people were dispatched to fight the fire.
The fire was under control at about 0:50, extinguished at 1:30, and the remaining fire treatment was completed at 2:20. It was suspected that the wires caught fire and ignited debris at the scene, with a burning area of 30 square meters.
The fire also spread to the left and right and burned two households, each with an area of about 15 square meters, all of which were furniture and sundries on the third floor.
In this residential fire, the total burned area was about 90 square meters, and five households were equipped with residential alarms. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
