Currently, the Russian occupiers have offensive potential, and therefore

the Armed Forces

will wait until the aggressor Russia's army is exhausted.

The Ukrainian defenders will "surround" the enemy in the mode of active defense and go on a counterattack.

This opinion  was voiced by

"Channel 24"

military expert, instructor pilot and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan.

It could probably happen in a few weeks.

According to him, by the end of February, the Russian military will increase the degree of offensive actions, and in March they will begin to "puff up".

When the occupiers lack weapons, the Armed Forces will begin counteroffensive actions.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine will start offensive operations sometime in March. It will not be in the Donetsk direction, because we will not attack the Donetsk ridge. It will probably be in the Luhansk and Zaporizhia directions," the expert believes.

According to him, it will be correct for the fighters to start a counterattack when the enemy is exhausted.

Yes, we can expect relevant news already in March - April 2023.

It will be recalled that David Petraeus, former commander of the US Central Command, believes that

the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to push back the Russian troops even further in the summer,

but this will depend on the supply of weapons and strategy.

According to him, this summer Ukrainian forces will be able to cut the land corridor to Crimea.
