A driver's life is in danger in a hospital in Plovdiv after an accident on the Smolyan-Asenovgrad road. The accident happened on February 18 at around 7:10 p.m. in the section of the Hvoyna - Narechenski bani road.
An "Opel Astra" car with Sofia registration, owned and driven by a 65-year-old man from Sofia, overtook a convoy of cars, as a result of which it hit the oncoming bus "Iveco Daily" with Smolyan registration, owned by a transport a company managed by a 61-year-old man from Smolensk.
In the accident, the driver of the car that overtook was injured, who suffered injuries to the head, fractured ribs and a lung injury.
The wounded man was transported to "St. George" Plovdiv Medical Center, where he was admitted for life-threatening treatment.
The scene of the accident was visited by a duty operation group at RU-Chepelare.
