Reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Roman Svitan believes that Russia was not ready for a full-scale war against Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with TSN.ua.

"The Russians were not ready to conduct full-scale hostilities. This was a military adventure. They have already understood this and are trying to rebuild the situation. They reduced the front line from 2,500 kilometers to 1,000. The number of offensive operations decreased. The Russians understand that in this war they are not will win. Especially since the whole civilized world is behind us, and it is impossible to fight civilization with clubs and spears. They understand this, and that is why the Russian Federation has already suffered a strategic defeat. Now all that remains for us is for the Russian Federation to suffer an absolute defeat in the war, and our The Armed Forces entered the borders in 1991," explained the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces.

Russia's war against Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.

That day, the occupying army moved into the territory of our state from the north, south and east.

Russian dictator Putin announced the so-called "special operation", the purpose of which was the "demilitarization and denazification" of Ukraine.

The Kremlin planned to overthrow the legitimate government and establish its puppet regime in Kyiv, headed by the state traitor Viktor Yanukovych, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized the invaders' plans.
