Two new earthquakes of magnitude 6.4 and 5.8 occurred in Turkey on Monday, February 20.

The epicenter of the first earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 was the Defne district.

The other earthquake was a magnitude 5.8 with an epicenter in the Samandag area of ​​Turkey's Hatay province. 

Earthquakes were also heard in other cities, which caused panic among the locals.

The Internet reports that houses have been damaged due to new earthquakes.

Local authorities are urging people to stay away from buildings and evacuate the area if possible.

Turkish President Recep Erdogan announced that the 7.7-magnitude earthquake was the strongest since 1939.

Also, on February 18, in the south-east of Turkey in the province of Kahramanmaras, which suffered from a devastating earthquake on February 6, earthquakes occurred again.
