Military and political commentator Oleksandr Kovalenko told whether the large-scale

offensive

of the Russians in Ukraine has already begun and whether the actions of the occupiers will be even more noticeable.

"I really like the name 'wide-scale offensive'. What does it mean? It's about the use of all types of troops during offensive operations on a wide front, that is, it is really some kind of large-scale combat operations that the aggressor country will carry out. But I can't say that now a really large-scale offensive is taking place, big, epic. Why? Because Russia today no longer has the resources it had on February 24, 2022. In addition, Russia does not have the ability to carry out offensive actions on a wide front," Kovalenko said in interview OBOZREVATEL.

The expert told what the Russians need to conduct an offensive.

"We can consider each separate bridgehead. For example, the Zaporizhia region is a front of almost 100 km. The question is: can today this group of Russian occupation troops, which is stationed in the Zaporizhia region, ensure an offensive with a front length of 100 km? No! Because it is necessary to provide each part of the front with the necessary number of units so that they carry out these offensive actions, to have artillery support, proportional supply of ammunition, logistical support, aviation must also be used in large numbers for this," he summarized.

It will be recalled that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi

, announced that Russia's offensive has already begun

.

He noted that Russian attacks are taking place in several directions at once and called on the West to provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons as soon as possible.

It should be noted that the ex-head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Army General Mykola Malomuzh believes that the Russian Federation does not have such a resource for

an offensive as it was on February 24, 2022.
