APA reports that this was stated in the information released by the Intelligence Service of the British Ministry of Defense.

According to the Intelligence Service, Russia continues its attacks in the east of Ukraine mainly in three directions - Ugledar, Kremennaya and Bakhmut.

"Casualties remain particularly high at Bakhmut and Ugledar. Specifically, the 'elite' 155th and 40th Marine Brigades have suffered heavy losses at Ugledar and are unlikely to make any headway in the fighting. Political pressure on Russian forces is mounting as the anniversary of the invasion approaches. "It is likely that Russia will claim the capture of Bakhmut, regardless of the reality on the battlefield. If Russia's offensive in the spring fails, then tensions will increase within the Russian leadership," the British Ministry of Defense Intelligence Service said.
