Military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that Ukraine had strategic bombers and long-range missiles, but we either destroyed them or gave them to Russia as payment for gas.

He said this on his YouTube channel.

"There were cruise missiles and strategic bombers in Ukraine. There was a whole Tu-22M3 regiment in Poltava. Our bombers took part in the exercises when the submarine "Kursk" sank. Our pilots then refueled their planes in such a way that they had enough fuel without the possibility of landing to the Norwegian Sea and back. They completed their combat mission and returned," the expert explained.

Oleg Zhdanov added that Ukraine has also transferred all its cruise missiles to Russia.

"We had a Tu-95 squadron. We handed it over to the Russian Federation as payment for energy carriers. Among them there were even new planes that managed to fly for 3 hours. Some of them are now launching missiles at us. Kh-22, Kh-55 missiles and X-101. We had about 400 of them. We gave part of the Tu-22M3 to the Russian Federation, and we cut the part for cameras. Russia took all the cruise missiles from us. There were also Tu-160 planes, which were also taken by the Russian Federation. All we gave," the military expert emphasized.

It will be recalled that the former head of military intelligence and ex-deputy head of the SBU, Oleksandr Skipalsky, said that as early as 1992, he believed that Russia could attack Ukraine.

Then he warned the political leadership about it, but did not wait for a proper reaction.
