Cuba confirmed that the right-hander Carlos Juan Viera will be its starting pitcher to face Dragones de Chunichi here this Sunday in a warm-up game for the

V World Baseball Classic.

After confirming the announcement made a few days ago by coach Pedro Luis Lazo, manager Armando Johnson added that it is equally defined that left-handed Liván Moinelo will make about 15 deliveries in the final segment of that duel.

The helmsman recalled that, as happened on Friday against Nippon Ham Wrestlers, 11-2 winner, the clash on duty will be assumed with specific objectives based on which the remaining serpentineros will be used.

Regarding the lineup, he maintained that the only novelty will be the inclusion of Erisbel Arruebarruena in the shortstop and located last in the batting order.

The positions from one to eight will be Roel Santos (cf), Yoelkis Guibert (rf), Yurisbel Gracial (3b), Alfredo Despaigne (bd), Yadir Drake (1b), Dayán García (2b), Ariel Martínez (r) and Guillermo García (lf), in that order.

Dragones de Chunichi will send to the mound the also right-handed Hiroshi Suzuki, 25 years old and with five years of experience in the Japanese professional league, where he exhibits a record of six wins out of nine setbacks.

The following commitments of the Antillean formation are agreed for Tuesday and Wednesday, against Golondrinas de Yakult and Gigantes de Yomiuri, respectively, also in Okinawa.
