Russia has submitted to the UN Security Council a draft resolution demanding an independent investigation into the explosions of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines in September and the discovery of the perpetrators, Reuters reported, BNR informed.

According to the Russian deputy representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, the goal is to vote on the document within a week.

Sweden and Denmark, in whose waters the explosions took place, declared the blasts intentional but did not say who might be responsible.

The United States and NATO called it sabotage, and Moscow blamed the West.

So far, neither side has presented concrete evidence.
