[Reporter Luo Xinzhen/Pingtung Report] In order to deceive the public, the fraudulent group has entered the fraudulent machine room in Hengchun, a popular tourist area in southern Taiwan!

The police traced and found that the wooden house-type homestay still accepts tourists to operate the homestay on weekends and holidays, and it is only used for fraud in the computer room from Monday to Friday on weekdays. The nine were detained by the Pingtung District Court.

Pick up tourists on holidays and use them to commit fraud on weekdays

The Pingtung County Police implemented the "Qingyuan Project 2.0 Work Plan" of the Police Administration, and found that a homestay in Hengchun was suspected of illegal activities. After checking and confirming that it was a fraudulent computer room, it immediately reported to the Pingtung District Prosecutor's Office to direct the investigation, and Hengchun The Spring Police Branch, the Criminal Police Brigade of the Ping County Police Department, the Eighth Brigade of the Criminal Police Bureau, and the Pingtung Gendarmerie formed a joint task force.

Police team breaks windows and arrests 20 suspects

The investigation by the police found that the group has rented a private homestay since December last year. During the weekdays, the homestay operator provides three meals a day, and "goes to work" from 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday. Review meetings are held every night. Those who are the best will be punished to do push-ups.

The method of committing the crime is an old stalker of "fake prosecutors and policemen". He uses phone calls during the day, pretends to be the prosecutors and police officers, and falsely claims to the victim that he is involved in a criminal case. In the investigation, at least 23 people were defrauded, most of them were Chinese, and the amount of property loss has yet to be confirmed.

Twenty suspects were sent to court for fraud in accordance with the criminal law. After the prosecutor's re-interrogation, all nineteen of them were allowed to be detained and banned from seeing them.
