[Reporter Wu Junfeng/Tainan Report] A small truck burned down on Rende Road in Tainan, Zhongshan at around 1:00 p.m. today. The fire department of the municipal government was notified and immediately dispatched personnel to rescue it. Fortunately, both the driver and the passengers escaped in time. No one was hurt.

In the past few days, there have been frequent incidents of burning cars on national highways. The No. 4 Highway Police Brigade appeals to the public to maintain their vehicles on a regular basis and check the condition of their vehicles before going on the road to avoid similar incidents and endanger the safety of themselves and other passers-by.

The incident occurred on the outer shoulder of the Rende section of National Highway 1, which is 334.2 kilometers southbound. The police received a report at 1:45 p.m., and a small truck caught fire.

The small truck instantly burst into flames, and the National Highway Police patrol car went to the scene to deal with it, and kept on guard at the rear. It also notified the traffic control center to ask for the fire truck of the public works section, the slow crash vehicle, and the Tainan City Government Fire Department to assist in handling it.

The fire was extinguished at about 2:00 p.m., and the scene was cleared at 2:35 p.m. There were two people in the car, the driver and the passengers, and they were not injured.

According to preliminary understanding, the car caught fire due to the fuel pipe, and the driver started to catch fire after parking the car on the outer shoulder.
