[Central News Agency] The U.S. Wyoming State Senate and House of Representatives passed the "Pro-Taiwan Resolution" again with overwhelming votes.

Senate President Driskill said in his speech that the friendship between the United States and Taiwan is profound, and at a time when China's threats to Taiwan continue to escalate, Wyoming's support for Taiwan is even more important.

The Wyoming Senate and House of Representatives passed joint resolutions on January 30 and February 14 respectively, reaffirming "Wyoming's commitment to strengthening and deepening its relationship with Taiwan."

The resolution states that Taiwan and the United States have developed a profound friendship based on their shared commitment to democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and a free market economy.

Taiwan and the United States held a meeting last year to expand Taiwan's international participation. The United States affirmed Taiwan's pragmatic promotion of international participation and reiterated its support for Taiwan's meaningful participation in the United Nations and other international organizations.

Waizhou's "Supporting Taiwan Resolution" also supports Taiwan's participation in organizations that are related to global trade, health and safety, and the well-being of the Taiwanese people.

Huaizhou and Taiwan have established a sister relationship since 1984, and the two sides have cooperated closely in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and education. In November last year, the Ministry of Education and the Huaizhou Department of Education signed a memorandum of understanding to expand Chinese language education exchanges.

Taiwan is the eighth largest trading partner of the United States. In the resolution, Wyzhou reiterated his support for the establishment of a closer economic and trade partnership between the United States and Taiwan, including the signing of bilateral trade agreements.

Senate President Driskill (Ogden Driskill) led the proposal of Waizhou's "Supporting Taiwan Resolution", and many senators and representatives successively spoke in committee hearings and plenary sessions to support Taiwan.

China's threat to Taiwan and other democratic countries has continued to rise in recent days. The US House of Representatives recently passed a resolution condemning China's use of surveillance balloons as a flagrant violation of US sovereignty.

Driskill said in his speech that this year's "Pro-Taiwan Resolution" is more important and meaningful than ever.

This year, the Wyoming Legislature also drafted a bill prohibiting China from buying Wyoming farmland.

Wyoming's "Taiwan Support Resolution" is the first Taiwan support resolution in the western United States this year. The Seattle Office expressed its gratitude to Wyoming for its firm support for Taiwan in the press release, and will continue to promote bilateral substantive cooperation with all walks of life in the future.
