I think it's time for Turkey to confirm Sweden and Finland's membership in NATO.

APA reports that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who is on a visit to Turkey, said this at a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu:

"I know that Turkey also has very legitimate security concerns.

I don't think any ally has overlooked these needs either.

Fighting terrorism is one of the most important issues for NATO."

Stoltenberg added that Sweden and Finland joining the alliance will strengthen NATO's fight against terrorism.

"Currently, the main issue is not the simultaneous membership of Sweden and Finland in NATO, but the main issue is that both of them become members as soon as possible," added the Secretary General.
