EU ambassadors, who are negotiating the next package of sanctions in Brussels, discussed on February 15

a list of goods that will no longer be exported to Russia.

The entire list of prohibitions fit on

146 pages.

It includes, in particular, toilets.

This is reported

Euobserver.

The main purpose of the trade embargo, which will amount to 11 billion euros per year for the Russian Federation, is to stop the sale of high-tech goods that can be used in Russian weapons systems.

It is about

electronics, lasers, radio equipment, software, avionics, marine cameras and rare earth minerals, etc.

On the other hand, the new trade sanctions are aimed at hitting Russia's industrial potential in a broader sense.

Yes, the new list of prohibitions will include "bidets, toilets, flushing cisterns and similar plumbing equipment", as well as LEDs, hemp yarn, forklifts, mail sorting machines,

chimneys

, bricks, tires and even "pen for pens

and tips for them."

"Toilets became a symbol of the fact that the 24-year rule of Russian President Vladimir Putin did not help to improve the lives of Russians, because Russian soldiers began to rob them, first in Georgia in 2008, and now in Ukraine - because every fifth Russian home does not have them yet," the publication writes

.

In addition, Euobserver recalled the statement

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi on this matter in January: "Let them take toilets - they will need them on the way - and go home."

"You know, they (Russians - ed.) talked about their biggest dream — to see Paris and die. Now they dream of stealing a toilet and dying," the newspaper quotes Zelensky as saying.

It should be noted that the EU sanctions should enter into force by February 24, the anniversary of the full-scale war.

We will remind you that on Wednesday, February 15, the European Commission announced the "toughest package of sanctions against the Russian Federation" ever introduced by the European Union.
