The network of stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service has registered an earthquake reported as perceptible at 01:50 am located at the coordinates 19.67 degrees north latitude and -73.72 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 10.0 km and with a magnitude of 5.5, located 79.3 km southeast of Maisí, province of Guantánamo.

Up to now, perceptibility reports have been received from several towns in the provinces of Guantánamo and the municipality of Santiago de Cuba.

At the closing of the information, no material or human damages were reported.

This is the perceptible earthquake No 2 of the year 2023.
