A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to APA, during the telephone conversation, the latest situation of the operations and work carried out in the direction of rescuing the affected population and providing humanitarian aid as a result of the earthquake that caused great loss of life and severe destruction in the Republic of Turkey was discussed.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again conveyed his condolences on the death of many people as a result of the earthquake and wished recovery to those injured as a result of the earthquake.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Azerbaijan stands by brother Turkey in these difficult days, as always, and will continue its support in eliminating the consequences of the earthquake.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confidently expressed his belief that brother Turkey will overcome this difficult test.

During the telephone conversation, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also gave detailed information about the latest situation in the earthquake region and the progress of rescue operations.

During the phone conversation, they also exchanged views on the current situation in the region, including other issues of mutual interest.
