After Namibia, now 12 cheetahs are being brought from South Africa to Kuno.

The family of cheetahs is going to increase once again in the Kuno National Park of Sheopur.

After 8 cheetahs brought from Namibia, now 12 cheetahs are being brought to Kuno from South Africa.

A special team of 4 people from India has also reached South Africa to bring African cheetahs to Kuno.

10 different enclosures of 30 by 50 are ready for the special guests coming to Kuno from South Africa.

They have been given almost the shape of a boma.

12 cheetahs from South Africa will reach Kuno on February 18, in which 7 are male and 5 are female.

They will be taken from Johannesburg to Gwalior in an Indian Air Force cargo plane, from where they will reach Kuno by Air Force helicopters.

At least one month old 12 cheetahs will be fed in the enclosure itself before being shifted to larger enclosures.

After their arrival, some cheetahs from Namibia can be released in the open forest.

In a conversation with NDTV, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh indicated that tourists can come to see the cheetahs from February itself.

However, Sasha, the female cheetah suffering from kidney problems, is better now.

He has been shifted to a bigger enclosure, but it may take time for him to go into the open forest.
