On February 15 at 10:36 a.m. in the region of the deadly earthquakes in Kahramanharash, which killed at least 35 thousand people in Turkey, a new earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale was registered, according to a reference on the website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).



The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 5 kilometers, 66 kilometers northwest of the city of Kahramanharash (population 380,000) and 6 kilometers west of Goksun (34,200).

Such tremors pose a danger to buildings already affected by the strong earthquakes of February 6.



More than 35,000 people died and more than 80,000 were injured in the magnitude 7.8 and 7.6 earthquakes - centered in the city of Kahramanmaras - which struck over just a few hours on February 6.



The tremors hit 10 provinces in Turkey and killed thousands more in Syria, with the death toll continuing to rise in both countries.

Many victims are still trapped under collapsed buildings across the region.
