The other day, the intelligence of Norway reported that Russia, for the first time since the collapse of the USSR, took Northern Fleet ships with tactical

nuclear weapons

on board to the Baltic Sea.

In this way, Vladimir Putin is trying to provoke NATO to escalate in order to achieve negotiations with world leaders.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told

about this in an interview

with TSN.ua.

"The degree of confrontation is increasing, Putin is trying to provoke NATO in order to get some aggressive step from the Alliance. In order to accuse them of aggression and immediately offer them, as a "peacemaker", negotiations. And at the same time, Putin will no longer conduct negotiations with our president," Zhdanov explained.

The expert also reminded that today the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin still has one chance for negotiations - it is to withdraw the troops from Ukraine.

"But he doesn't want to talk to us. He wants to talk to Biden, Macron, Scholz and the rest of the leaders of the European or world community of heads of state. But they don't want to," he emphasized.

Oleg Zhdanov also noted that NATO quickly learned about the removal of nuclear warheads into the Baltic Sea, which indicates that the movement of each nuclear warhead is being tracked.

"Norway is talking about the first case in 30 years, which means that Norwegian intelligence has a detailed picture of all nuclear weapons storage sites and they are clearly convinced that other warheads in the entire territory of Russia have not been moved anywhere. To date, de facto, The Baltic Sea is an internal sea of NATO, one step separates Finland and Sweden from participating in this Alliance. Therefore, for Russia, this is another gesture of aggression against the civilized world. It will not be effective and, on the contrary, will cause image loss for the Russian Federation," Oleg Zhdanov summarized.

It will be recalled that Norway's intelligence reported the other day that

Russian ships with tactical nuclear weapons began to go to sea for the first time in 30 years.
