Romania sends aid to Syria with two military planes

Yesterday, the first shipment of humanitarian aid sent by Romania to the Syrian population arrived in Beirut.

The aid, including tents, mattresses, beds and canned goods, was transported by two Romanian Air Force C-27J Spartan aircraft that took off from Bucharest yesterday morning.

The Romanian Air Force carried out similar humanitarian missions in 2011, when another major earthquake occurred in Turkey, as well as in 2019 in Albania, the ministry reminds.
