Political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko talked about the nuclear blackmail of the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, and noted that it is a propaganda show.

This was discussed on the air of the TV channel FREEDOM.

"Currently, unfortunately, a hot war is raging almost in the center of Europe.

This is a consequence of the Russian invasion.

The Russian Federation is now trying to use nuclear weapons as some kind of final argument, threatening the use of nuclear weapons by the West.

However, it is very noticeable, in fact, by indirect signs: not only the West, but also Russia is afraid of a direct military confrontation," said Fesenko.

Fesenko called Putin's threats an attempt to "take it easy", to scare Poland with the use of tactical nuclear weapons.

"Right now, at this very moment, it has not so much a military purpose, but rather a propaganda one. Russia intends to stage a "big propaganda show" on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine," the political scientist added.

In his opinion, the release of warships with tactical nuclear weapons is part of a propaganda show.

So, as the expert noted, there is no direct danger yet.

"So far, the Kremlin is more likely to use propaganda to scare the West. But, of course, at least potentially, such a risk exists, and this risk is connected only with Putin and, let's say, with his mental balance," said Fesenko.

He noted that Putin is now descending to the level of North Korean dictators who are trying to blackmail with nuclear weapons.

"But I think that there are still no direct threats to its use today," said the political scientist.

It will be recalled that on the eve of the Norwegian intelligence reported that for the first time since the collapse of the USSR, Russia had brought ships of the Northern Fleet with tactical

nuclear weapons

on board into the Baltic Sea.

Therefore, experts said that the head of the Kremlin, Putin, is trying to provoke NATO to escalate in this way in order to achieve negotiations with world powers.
