In Balta, Odesa region, an unknown object exploded in the hands of a 15-year-old girl, and she was taken to the hospital with injuries.

This was reported to the Odesa police.

"Preliminarily, it has been established that an unknown object exploded in the victim's hands, which she found in her own house," the statement reads.

The girl with shrapnel injuries was hospitalized at a local hospital. 

The police are establishing the circumstances of the injury to a resident of Balta.

An investigative team is currently working at the site.

Legal qualification will be given after establishing all its circumstances.

The police once again called on people not to touch suspicious or obviously explosive objects.

Instead, it is necessary to move to a safe distance and call the emergency services by calling the special lines 101 and 102.

One of the teenagers picked him up from the ground and threw him next to the others.

The mine detonated.

According to experts, today Ukraine is the most mined country on the planet.
