A disaster in Plovdiv miraculously escaped without serious injuries.

A driver who, according to eyewitnesses, was not adequate and in a visibly intoxicated state, carries a series of pegs and almost crashes into a grocery store.

At that time, there are also children from the nearby school on the sidewalk, who in seconds do not become victims of the accident.

Eyewitnesses also tried to remove the driver from the vehicle, but without success.

The man was later taken into custody after a short chase by officers from two area police departments.

The Dredger recorded 1.9 parts per million of alcohol.

The driver was detained for 24 hours.

The incident happened on Bratya Miladinovi street in the city under the hills.

The driver hit one of the safety pegs, which stopped him from hitting a nearby shop window that had customers inside.

There is still no justice for the biker who was hit by a drunk driver

"Coming towards the shop I heard the sound of the impact. At first I thought something had fallen from a roof because I couldn't see from a nearby tree.

But as I approached, I saw the car hit," said Christina, who is an eyewitness to the accident.

According to her, initially the driver, who was intoxicated, was alone.

Later, a child climbed into the passenger seat next to him.

"This is unacceptable for me.

The driver was visibly drunk.

Inadequate," she declared.

He added: "There were people around who tried to stop the driver.

A man offered to park his car for him and call a cab to take him home.

But attempts to stop the driver were unsuccessful."
