After the Russian military fleet flew into the Polish airspace, the Dutch F-35 fighter jets stationed in Poland took off to intercept and accompanied the Russian military fleet from a distance. Finally, the Russian military fleet left the airspace. The Dutch Air Force then handed over the accompanying flight with other NATO allies Escort mission.

In response to the Russian military's actions, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not respond to this.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force dispatched eight F-35A fighter jets to Poland in late January to carry out the "air security mission" in NATO's eastern airspace, and was responsible for strengthening the defense posture of the eastern flank in February and March this year.
