The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a family from Zaporizhzhia died as a result of powerful earthquakes in the south of Turkey, and 7 Ukrainians are considered missing.

The spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko said this. 

According to him, the Ukrainian embassy is taking measures to prepare the repatriation of the bodies of the victims. 

"A second group of consuls is going to the disaster zone to coordinate the search for missing citizens, provide assistance to the victims and ensure the evacuation of Ukrainians to other Turkish regions and Ukraine. In the near future, diplomats plan to evacuate 22 Ukrainian citizens from the affected southern region," he wrote. 

Nikolenko added that a total of

136 citizens were found and 37 were evacuated

.

10 Ukrainians were rescued from the rubble.

7 are considered missing, their search continues.

According to him, 2 may be under rubble, Ukrainian units of the State Emergency Service are involved in their search.

1 person was hospitalized, his condition is stable.

Thousands of rescuers are sorting through the rubble in the affected regions and trying to find survivors.

 On February 14, it became known that 46-year-old Yulia Petrova and her two sons died

during an earthquake in 

Turkey .

Zakharov was 10 years old, and Matviev was 5 years old.

The family was from Zaporozhye.
